Is it time to try counseling for your anxiety?

You’re tired of feeling nervous, wondering what people think about you, and worrying about the future. You get stuck in your head and miss out on being fully present. There are so many fun or meaningful things you don’t pursue even though you think they would help you have the life you want. You’re tired of living this way and it’s time to get some help.

Help from a Therapist in Missoula, MT

You’ve listened to friends, talked to your doctor, and read blogs and books, but it hasn’t been enough. You’re looking for an expert who will go beyond listening and help you make concrete changes. I look forward to working with you to move in a new direction, with more authenticity and intention. We will address your concerns with the care they deserve, while allowing space for laughter, tears, weight, and levity.

Many people around me share that I reflect persistence and determination, as well as kindness.  It is my hope that I bring this into session with you as we persevere in a caring way to find what helps you make the changes you deserve. That may mean exploring your values, practicing mindfulness, or working on skills to help you regulate your body and engage in life in a more present, more meaningful way.

When working with clients, I bring decades of life experience to the relationship.  Having lived and reflected on being a human, a woman, a parent, a partner, and more, I can relate first-hand to some challenges you might face in these roles.

Change is possible

I became a therapist after 20 years as a Spanish teacher…it’s never too late to make a change! I have an appreciation for different cultures and identities that originated growing up outside of Washington, D.C., and I carry that into my current life as a reader, traveler, advocate, and counselor.

As mentioned on my home page, a smaller counseling practice works for us both.  It allows me to take care of myself, so you receive more focus and support when we meet.  When you reach out for an extra session, for a reminder about what we practiced in session, or to reschedule, I’ll get back to you.
